The Red Shift had their first gig in around two years last night. We played at The Fleece and Firkin in Bristol as support for a band called Keltika. We've been playing together for a few months since we've all come back from travelling, and it has been really good fun. We've swapped around a bit on the instruments. I play keyboards, backing vocals and melodica now, whilst Dom has switched from guitar to bass. Chris and Joachim are still doing the same.

It was a really great night, and went surprisingly smoothly. The crowd seemed to enjoy it, and we got some positive remarks from the sound engineer amongst others.

Other news; I'm really hitting the final straight at university now. I've got around 7 exams in May, all big nasty ones. I've got a big week this week with two essays to knock on the head, and then the blessed holidays come.

On Tuesday I'll have an interview with a lady from Bordeaux University with regards to a post as lecteur over there. I'm currently smartening myself up with new clothes and hair to give the right impression. Hmmm....

Anyway, have procrastinated enough from doing my work, so I'd better dash.
